Terms of use
Last updated: [DATE]
Draft: this text is being reviewed and will be finalised before InFrame opens in January.
These terms explain how InFrame works and what we each agree to when you use it. We've kept them in plain English. The short version: your work stays yours, we never use it to train AI, and we ask everyone to treat each other well.
1. Who we are
InFrame is run by [COMPANY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER]), at [ADDRESS]. You can reach us at hello@joininframe.com.
By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.
2. Joining InFrame
InFrame is invite only for now. To join, you need a valid invite code and you must be 18 or over.
You create one account for yourself, under your real name. Studio and company pages are run by people with their own accounts, never as a separate login.
3. Your account
Keep your login details safe and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens on it.
4. Your work stays yours
You keep full ownership of everything you upload: your reel, artwork, credits, films and text.
So that we can run the site, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store and display your work on InFrame, as you've set it up. This includes:
- showing it on your profile and in search, to the people your visibility settings allow;
- featuring it on the InFrame homepage or in our own posts about InFrame, always credited to you.
You can opt out of being featured at any time in your settings. When you delete something, or your account, this permission ends. Copies may stay in our backups for a short time, and posts already published may take a little longer to come down.
5. No AI training
We will never use your work, or let anyone else use it, to train artificial intelligence models.
We take reasonable steps to stop others copying content from InFrame in bulk. We can't fully control what people do outside the site, but we will act on any misuse we find.
6. What you can upload
Only upload work you have the right to share. A lot of work in our industry belongs to the studio or client, so check before posting it.
Never upload unreleased or confidential material you're not allowed to show, even in a private part of your profile.
Credits should be accurate. Please don't claim work you didn't do.
7. Being part of the community
We want InFrame to feel good to be on. Please don't:
- harass, insult or discriminate against anyone;
- post spam, fake profiles or misleading information;
- copy or collect other members' details or work in bulk;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of the site.
If you see something wrong, report it to us at hello@joininframe.com.
8. Indie projects and backing
InFrame lets you post indie projects, find a crew and show interest in backing a project.
We only make introductions. We don't take part in any agreement between members, don't handle money, and aren't responsible for projects or payments. Please agree terms directly with each other, in writing.
9. Studios and recruiters
If you use InFrame to hire, use members' details only to contact them about real work. Don't sell, share or export them for other purposes.
10. Removing content and accounts
You can delete your content or your whole account at any time.
We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if it breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first.
11. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep InFrame running and secure, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under UK consumer law, or our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as InFrame grows. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it applies.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
